5. Scary Movie (2001)

In my initial brainstorming for this list, I originally thought of suggesting the entire franchise. However, upon further reflection, it dawned on me that for my reasons, the original is really all you need. Not meant to be taken seriously at all, Scary Movie is a hilarious send-up of the world of, well, scary movies, and as such uses stars Regina Hall and Brothers Shawn and Marlon Wayans to great effect as a parody of the relationships between black people and horror movies both on and off the screen. The fact is many of the issues Director Keenan Ivory Wayans dissected are still issues 10 years later.
